Is it time to listen to a new voice?

You may no longer be commuting to the office 5 days a week, but the days and the weeks seem to be getting longer and longer with no relief in sight. Your mood is wearing thin on everyone in your inner circle.
You pour a cup of coffee and stare into your computer, and that same old question starts rolling around in your head. Maybe it is time to do something different, or maybe it is time to make a total career change.
On cue, that little voice in your head steps in and says now is not the time as my family is depending on me.
From there, you begin to hear the same old rationalizations:
The voice means well. It is only trying to protect you from being disappointed. After all, the prospect of change can be intimidating. Navigating risk and uncertainty can be challenging, if not flat-out terrifying.
But that fear, uncertainty, and doubt leave you feeling even more stuck and trapped. So you end up feeling like there’s no other option than to suck it up and stay where you are.
While in the past, that voice may have been well-intentioned, it is time to thank it for its past service and start listening to the emerging voice telling you enough is enough; it is time to get moving.
What if you could actually figure out what you want to do with your career?
And what if you believed it was not some far-off dream, but it’s actually possible for you?
Don’t let fear and doubt hold you back from figuring out what’s truly important to you and then clearing a path to make that dream a reality.
Let’s get to the bottom of why you are unhappy in your career and what is holding you back from taking action.
