Stop Doing Heavy
Live Lighter
I had a fantastic conversation with my coach today, leading to an insight that unlocked a new stream of possibilities for me. I’d like to share it with you.
“Stop Doing Heavy and Live Lighter”
This insight brought a rush of new energy that helped me get out of the weeds and move beyond the limiting stories I’d been telling myself. As a result, I am now refocused on what is important to me and what I want to do next.
To be fair, the first six months of the year were challenging due to some health issues that consumed a fair amount of my energy. However, after my successful knee surgery at the end of June, I met each challenge. While things felt tiring and heavy for a while, I realized they no longer had to be.
I’d been waiting all winter and spring for summer to arrive so I could get outside and get going again, but I was having trouble getting started. Dealing with a chain of health events made everything feel harder, heavier, and far more complicated than needed. I needed to simplify my thinking, lighten my load, and take smaller steps to achieve the goals I’d set for myself.
When we’re tired, distracted, or spread too thin, everything feels more complicated and heavier. It becomes easy to get distracted or slow down and tell ourselves it is too much work or we don’t have the time to do it right, so why do it at all?
We’ve all been there. Sometimes, we need to give ourselves some empathy, simplify our thinking, and break down our goals into smaller, lighter pieces—pieces we can have fun playing around with.
Take some time to think about what you could achieve if you simplified your story and took small steps toward your goals.
I invite you to schedule a call with me to discuss how you can turn your energy into action and start living a little lighter.
